Target vs. actual comparison: yield forecasts using current irradiance data
Smart Control calculates the theoretical reference output for each string – the yield that would have been possible under the current weather conditions. The difference compared with the actual feed-in is used to identify and quantify the causes: shading, degradation, snow cover, inverter faults and curtailment by the grid operator.
Particularly valuable: Smart Control determines yield losses caused by curtailment with precise time resolution – accurately enough to verify statements from grid operators and direct marketers.
The irradiance values are based on satellite-derived weather data. No on-site sensor is required.
